Build a team that people want to be part of.
So how could Team Coaching help my team?
Team Coaching is becoming more utilised by organisations to accelerate team effectiveness and the achievement of organisational objectives. Team Coaching addresses many of the following aspects of team life:
- Getting agreement and clarity about team goals
- Establishing and working with team values
- Helping the team deal with obstacles to their goals
- Structuring effective team action plans
- Supporting a team to navigate conflict
- Measuring team performance
- Identifying the characteristics of high performance and how to develop them
- Managing the balance of task and relationships in teams
Team Coaching is focussed on helping the team improve their performance and their processes through reflection, action and dialogue.
What’s the difference between Team Coaching, Facilitation and Team Building?
Facilitation is a great teaching tool and usually relies on the sharing of content known to the facilitator and the extraction of themes from the team. The focus tends to be on process rather than dialogue.
Team Building is fun-based, relationship building activities designed to improve collaboration. Usually unrelated to the work task.
Team Coaching focuses on supporting the team to fully utilise the expertise of the team members in order to explore possible solutions to problems and challenges. Ultimately, this results in the team increasing its capability and capacity.
